Modern art is also known as the avant-garde is a term in which the rules of traditional art aside in order to develop new ideas and spirit of the experiment. Modern art can be referred to the works created roughly from 1860 to 1970, although some experts do not agree. Modern art put forward new ideas and new ways of thinking of various things. Modern art whose work appear later called the contemporary art. The most important contribution of the art form the 20th century was the discovery of abstraction that is not imitating art objects, material techniques, and even artistic scope and definition of art itself.
